Meeting Tigilau Ness

This week we organised a mini assembly where we were contacted someone from the book we were reading. His name was Tigilau Ness he was a member of the Polynesian Panthers and the dad of Che Fu. The book was written by Pauline (Vaeluaga) Smith.

We did this because we all wanted to ask what his experience was and what it would be like to be in the dawn raids. As we have been learning about the dawn raids we have been getting closer to what was happening around the country. Well the dawn raids happened and we also learned about the 1970's where they had milk runs, big charlie bubble gum and there still is some things like that around today.

This is us taking pictures with tigilau
When we got told about this, everyone wanted to straight away do it so we have been searching and it seemed like a inspiration to everyone really. This is what we organised for Kauri team.
