This week is Green week and Rm:25 has learnt a lot about birds especially our New Zealand native birds. Our native birds are Endemic which means they can only be found in New Zealand. Here are some pictures of our native birds.

Theses are 3 of our native birds but the Kereru has a special ability, when it senses a harrier hawk around it stays very still and then the hawk will not see the bird at all. Also a Morepork is a native bird but also a predator to other native birds. Our bird that we have to protect more is the Kiwi's because they are really endangered and they are also Endemic and protected very well and there New Zealand's national bird so they are very special.
